The School Administrator Magazine

This monthly magazine for U.S. public school superintendents was both a challenge and a joy. Each month, I collaborated with a professional illustrator to create conceptual art for the feature articles. Over eight years I worked with dozens of illustrators. My favorite design is for the feature “Renewing the Civic Mission of Schools,” where I came up with the concept of posing school-age kids in an homage to the Iwo Jima memorial. This was illustrated by Ralph Butler, one of my favorite collaborators.
